LOTOS Group Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy is based on the pillars described below. Currently we are preparing the new document, which will respond to the challenges included in the business strategy for years 2017-2022.

Back in 2008, the realisation of how relevant social responsibility was to the pursuit of strategic goals prompted the Management Board to adopt the comprehensive LOTOS Group Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy until 2012. In 2011, the document was reviewed through wide-ranging consultations with our stakeholders. Based on the review, focused on the evaluation of previous activities and their context, and on eliciting related expectations, we have updated the strategy. The next document covered the years 2012 - 2015.

Our activity is characterised by respect for the intellectual capital and diversity, and compliance with human rights standards, including freedom speech and freedom of association. We play an active role in creating new jobs and enhancing the quality of human capital in the areas influenced by our operations. We act to prevent social exclusion and other social issues falling within the scope of the Group’s competencies.

Our efforts are geared to limit our negative environmental impact on an ongoing basis, by adherence to relevant standards in the production and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as compliance with stringent environmental standards in the production, transport and sales of oil and petroleum products. In our production activities we employ the best available, state-of-the-art techniques, while remaining on a constant lookout for new technological solutions. We aim to identify and develop ways to harness renewable energy.

In managing our relationship with the outside world, we strive to be predictable and reliable, adhering to ethical standards, based on the principles of transparency and partnership, which influences our profit-making activities and value creation. We carry out initiatives designed to improve security in the energy sector in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Providing the market with stable fuel supplies, we also engage in the exploration and production of both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons.
